Building Strong Foundations for Communities
Our Mission
Delivering a client or community vision is at the heart of what we do.
Successfully delivering a project is often complex. It involves fulfilling a vision for the client or community, combined with the more practical aspects of ensuring the project delivers for the end user as well as landing on time and on budget.

Engaging with stakeholders is fundamental to what we do.
The kind of approach we take is to navigate a path forward when there are competing perspectives, constraints on resources and often exacting timeframes to deliver outstanding outcomes.
The success of the project depends on having great communication and clear processes, whilst maintaining a positive relationship with all contributors, consultants and end users.

David Clare: Architect & Project Manager
Linked In page
David is a qualified architect with over 25 years of experience across both commercial and charity sectors.
He began his career at Haskoll Architects (now Ryder Architecture), delivering projects from £500k to £200m across retail, residential, and leisure sectors — gaining particular expertise in feasibility, planning, and client communication.
In the second half of his career, David worked with Habitat for Humanity, a global charity specialising in community development and affordable housing. His leadership roles — culminating in CEO — developed his skills in business development, project strategy, and client-side advisory services.
Now, through High Cornerstone Projects, David brings together the discipline of architectural practice and the values of community-driven project management — helping clients achieve projects that are both practical and meaningful.

His ability to balance architectural objectives with managerial processes ensures that his clients receive outstanding results.

Brian Clark RIBA
Trustee of Habitat for Humanity GB Homes
"David has a discerning eye not only for development opportunities within his field, but a gift for choosing high quality architects and contractors from whom he draws out fine work. He loves creating good projects with individuals or with teams.
GB Homes came to rely heavily on David’s project management skills, which were used by a variety of organisations and church communities to redevelop their buildings. His ability to multi-task in a small organisation was invaluable: as a manager he is firm but compassionate, possessed of a strategic eye but an ability to master detail without being distracted by it.
He is a creative and sensitive person with the rare ability to work within a team or to lead it."
"...a gift for choosing high quality architects and contractors from whom he draws out fine work."

Fran Crowther
Development Manager for Not Bourne Yesterday (Chilterns National Landscape)
"HCP worked with us on a feasibility study for a learning lab at Restore Hope, Latimer for the development stage of the Not Bourne Yesterday programme. The designs created in collaboration with Kirkland Fraser Moor were fantastic and will be key for us achieve planning permission for the build.
This was not an easy task, as we have to repurpose a building or use recycled parts of other buildings, however David managed to bring it all together and propose a design and plan which fitted with the brief. David was a real pleasure to work with and offered me lots of help and advice throughout this feasibility study. Thank you David!"
